Shannon Lynch is a producer, host, and audio engineer with nine years of experience in audio journalism.

 

Shannon's journey in audio began in 2016 at SiriusXM, where she honed her skills producing daily political news shows like The Morning Briefing and The Press Pool. Her career took a leap in 2019 when she joined the think tank New America as a podcast producer, where she created shows that delved into political news and criminal justice reform.

 

The Marshall Project, Fox5 DC, WTOP, The Washingtonian, and DCW50 have featured Shannon's work. The Alley: DC's 8th and H Case was a finalist in the International Women's Podcast Awards and the Publisher Podcast Awards. Washington City Paper named The Alley the best local podcast of 2024.

 

Shannon holds a master's degree in audio technology from American University. She attended Georgetown University as an undergraduate, where she double majored in political science and music. She is an alumna of the Georgetown Government Honors Program.
